Waiver & Release of Liability

ONRA Father's Day Dads Only Tournament
By participating in the ONRA Father's Day Dads Only Tournament, held on June 5, 6, and 7, 2026 at Astumbo Gym, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Voluntary Participation

I understand that my participation in this volleyball tournament is completely voluntary. I confirm that I am choosing to participate freely and that I am responsible for deciding whether I am physically able to take part in this event.

2. Assumption of Risk

I understand that volleyball is a physical sport and involves certain risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, falls, collisions with other players, contact with the ball, contact with the floor, sprains, strains, fractures, cuts, bruises, concussions, heat-related illness, dehydration, or other injuries.

I understand that injuries may occur during warm-ups, games, practices, breaks, or while being present at the tournament location.

By participating, I knowingly and voluntarily accept all risks related to my participation in this tournament.

3. Physical Condition

I confirm that I am physically able to participate in this volleyball tournament. I understand that it is my responsibility to stop participating if I feel pain, dizziness, illness, shortness of breath, or any other condition that may make participation unsafe.

I understand that ONRA, the tournament organizers, volunteers, referees, staff, sponsors, and facility representatives are not responsible for determining whether I am physically fit to participate.

4. Release of Liability

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the ONRA Father's Day Dads Only Tournament, I agree to release, waive, and hold harmless ONRA, the tournament organizers, volunteers, referees, staff, sponsors, facility owners, facility operators, and any affiliated individuals or organizations from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses related to my participation in the tournament.

This includes, but is not limited to, claims related to injury, illness, disability, death, property damage, or loss of personal belongings.

5. Medical Treatment

In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize tournament staff, volunteers, or facility representatives to seek emergency medical assistance on my behalf if they believe it is necessary.

I understand that I am responsible for any medical costs, ambulance fees, hospital bills, or other expenses related to any injury or medical treatment.

6. Rules and Conduct

I agree to follow all tournament rules, facility rules, and instructions from tournament organizers, referees, staff, and volunteers.

I understand that unsafe behavior, fighting, aggressive conduct, disrespect toward referees or staff, intoxication, or unsportsmanlike behavior may result in removal from the tournament without refund.

7. Personal Belongings

I understand that I am responsible for my own personal belongings. ONRA, the tournament organizers, volunteers, staff, sponsors, and facility representatives are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.

8. Photo and Video Release

I understand and agree that photos and videos may be taken during the tournament.

I give ONRA and the tournament organizers permission to use photos and videos that may include my image, likeness, voice, or participation for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, flyers, posters, advertisements, and future event promotions.

I understand that I will not receive payment or compensation for the use of any photos or videos taken during the event.

9. Agreement

I confirm that I have read and understood this Waiver and Release of Liability. I understand that by agreeing to this waiver, I am giving up certain legal rights. I agree to participate voluntarily and accept the risks connected with this event.
